BULLYING ASSEMBLY AND PUMPKINS GALORE!

We had a wonderful assembly last week with Corey "Basketball" Jones talking to the students about self-esteem and anti-bullying.

The students absolutely loved how "cool" he was.

He had lots of tricks up his sleeve and many of our students went home with prizes.

Here is a sneak peek:

Halloween Spirit:
To get into the spirit of Halloween, the students have been decorating their pumpkins like our globe.
This activity has really enforced the location of the continents and their relative size in comparison to the oceans.

 Aren't they impressive?

MEAP WEEK, BAKE SALE AND SOME FUN!

First and foremost, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! to all that helped make our bake sale possible.
It was so incredible seeing how excited the students were all week and to see how much their dedication paid off!
I wish I would have snapped some photos of all our hard work but I was so busy selling I forgot!

I wanted to highlight how awesome our WHOLE building was as 3rd & 4th graders prepared for MEAP.

The building planned a clap out, in which the whole school cheered our students on with posters and signs displaying every kids name!

We ended our loooong MEAP week with playing some educational board games.  The students LOVE them!

AN EXCITING WEEK!

This week we had many fun activities planned in the classroom.

We ended our week with our first Writer's Celebration.
We celebrated our accomplishments as we finished our Personal Narratives, a story about ourselves.

Here is just a sneak peek...

We read interactive stories in library this week...
And we got a compliment that we are the BEST behaved class in the building :)

We also perfected our graphing skills with a Skittles Lab!

Rest Up for Next Week,
